Current Progress

Funded by various institutions, the area on which Peacepainting Center is to be located has been successfully zoned and approved by local authorities. The Architects Ekberg Lous have also created a complete project proposal for the construction of the future Peacepainting Center.

We are now in the process of reaching investors and others who want join us in realizing this opportunity. The next stages include purchasing the land, (Peacepainting Center currently holds an option on the land), completing details related to construction planning and preparing the land for construction. Construction of Peacepainting Center will begin shortly after these stages are completed.

Peacepainting Center has a cost framework of NOK 65 million. We are searching for partners who can share our vision, our values and who have the financial drive to contribute so that this important project can be realized. We believe it is natural that our project and our future activities are assessed in the light of a philanthropic value base.

In order to further develop Peacepainting and this method of raising awareness, it is important to establish long-term and creative partnerships.

Future Operation

When in operation, Peacepainting Center will sustain itself economically. This includes operation and rental of accommodation and catering facilities, meeting rooms and premises, (tourism market and companies/organizations).

This will enable us to scale activities to a high level and focus all resources on the main goal.

Peacepainting Center AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Peacepainting Foundation, however the Peacepainting Foundation will always finance all its activities independently of Peacepainting AS.
