Creativity is a highly under-stimulated area for most children today, which will have an effect on the future society. In order to stimulate innovation and new thinking, it is vital for children to develop their creativity.
The center will be a hub for international activities in Bindal, Nordland.
What impact will Peacepainting Center have?
As a generation, it is our responsibility to leave the world in a better condition.
Peacepainting Center will not only strengthen and benefit the local community, but the global world as a whole. Primarily it is a global center.
The center will be there to provide a focused work towards equality, create balance, lift and strengthen those who rightfully deserve and need to be strengthened.
We are actively working with raising awareness about equality.
Art as a highly effective tool
Owing to its high efficacy, art is one of the oldest forms of human expression. Expressing oneself via e.g. paintings and poems enables one to convey much more than mere facts and information. That is why we are using art as a tool to work for equality. Read more about why this method works here.

Current Progress
Funded by various institutions, the area on which Peacepainting Center is to be located has been successfully zoned and approved by local authorities. The Architects Ekberg Lous have also created a complete project proposal for the construction of the future Peacepainting Center.
We are now in the process of reaching investors and others who want join us in realizing this opportunity. The next stages include purchasing the land, (Peacepainting Center currently holds an option on the land), completing details related to construction planning and preparing the land for construction. Construction of Peacepainting Center will begin shortly after these stages are completed.
Peacepainting Center has a cost framework of NOK 65 million (approximately $7,1 million). We are searching for partners who can share our vision, our values and who have the financial drive to contribute so that this important project can be realized. We believe it is natural that our project and our future activities are assessed in the light of a philanthropic value base.
In order to further develop Peacepainting and this method of raising awareness, it is important to establish long-term and creative partnerships.
Future Operation
When in operation, Peacepainting Center will sustain itself economically. This includes operation and rental of accommodation and catering facilities, meeting rooms and premises, (tourism market and companies/organizations).
This will enable us to scale activities to a high level and focus all resources on the main goal.
Peacepainting Center AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Peacepainting Foundation, however the Peacepainting Foundation will always continue to finance its activities independently of Peacepainting AS.
